Sean is both the founder and lead instructor for YOUR  ACTUARY TUTOR (YAT). His teaching philosophy is to tailor his teaching approach to fit all students. He is aware that not all students learn in the same way, hence it is important to be equipped with a variety of approaches and delivery methods to address problems.​

Actuarial Science is a discipline that assesses financial risks in the Insurance and Finance fields using mathematical and statistical methods. The very nature of Sean’s actuarial profession makes it a seamless activity for him to teach math. His expertise in this field allows him to approach student learning from a dynamic perspective.

Sean has 10 years of tutoring experience that has primarily been focused on preparing students for success on various standardized exams such as CXC, CAPE, SAT, and ACT.  Coupled with the mission to accomplish his student learning goals, Sean mentors each of his students surrounding their academic and career journeys. He has been a mentor for the Big Brother Big Sister (BBBS) program for the past 4 years and recently celebrated his mentee’s high school graduation and acceptance to university 🙂
